hi there i got a 1999 civic si and would like to get more boost
this is what i have..........

AEM cold air intake
Greddy Headers
stage 2 clutch
short shifter
NGK iridium spark plugs
Apexi dual mufflers
rear drum to disc conversion
B16a2 engine

 

what do you mean more boost???
is it boosted right now???
re-post in the Forced Induction section if you want to think about turbo-ing your setup...

 

Boost comes from a turbo or supercharger... If you want to stay naturally aspirated then you want to go with more engine add-ons such as cams, oversized throttle body, get a custom tuned chip etc.

Didn't the 99-00 SI's have rear disk brakes standard? or am I mistaken....

 

haha- i'm pretty sure that all 99-00 si s come with rear disc- its probly not even an si

dang jan 2010 super new member, you got long way to go young one

 

install a boost controller on to your intake and turn up the boost

 

I think the headers are limiting you, try just one header it should give you more hp

 

lol at the responses. but OP, what are your hp goals, is the car your dd, how much money do you have to play with? all these questions are key before trying to figure out anymore. anything with more than about 280-300whp isnt going to be dd'able. and you don't have an em1 if you had drum brakes.

No i dont want turbo or a supercharger yet. it is my daily driver for now i just sold my old dx thats the 1 that had the rear conversion sorry not the em1 iam looking for more of engine add ons maybe cams or what else you reccomend

but seriously if its your daily i recommend you do little things like suspension and get used to the car before you try to make more power.

this i will agree with. Also if you want to make more power for now get all the boltons that you can for your motor and tune it, a tune will bring out the best in your motor. im not a fan of the b16 cause to me that motor feels like a d16w/ vtec but anywho its about you not me. GL

i know i get lots of crap 4 it but it can with the car iam going to loose later on

 

Lose the muffler(s) and the header(s). One of each of those should be plenty. LOL

How long u had the car? Just get used to it like that for now. Cuz when u do headwork u gotta tune. And you might as well wait till you have a good amount of mods to tune it and leave it for a while.
Cuz tuning gets expensive, unless you're tuning yourself.............but i dont think you know how to tune

but op your title should of been more power not boost. FYI ( boost is something you get when you add a turbocharger or a supercharger to your motor)
