Default Making OBD2 Alternator work into OBD1 engine.

Is there any way to convert the OBD2 integra alternator plug to work with the OBD 1 integra plug without cutting or splicing it? Can I open the alternator and modify the plug to use the OBD1 circular plug instead of the OBD2 rectangular harness plug? What number on the diagram do i change? I remember reading a post here on this forum regarding converting an OBD2 alternator to an OBD1 alternator

If both are Nippon Denso alternators you can swap the regulators. If both are Mitsubishi alternators you can probably swap the regulators. If they're different brands you're SOL.

you could just get the pigtail of the OBD2 alternator and splice it into the OBD1 Alternator plug. all the colors are the same except 1 I believe. and you just attach that to the last wire that isn't connected.
