jdm itr rims fit 5th gen prelude?
Yes they will fit. But you're in the wrong forum. Post in the Honda Prelude forum, or the Acura/Honda appearance forum for a better chance at receiving pictures. This is not ITR related.

Not saying I agree with the idea of any ITR wheels being installed on a Prelude.
Only ITR rims fit on an ITR? I've seen plenty of other wheels fit on an ITR besides OEM ITR wheels. I've also seen plenty of 5th gen Preludes with JDM ITR wheels. The lug pattern for both vehicles, 97-01 Integra Type-R and 97-01 Honda Prelude are 5x114.3. You can install the wheels, but fitment won't be so great.

Owning an ITR doesn't give you a magic wand to be a dick towards others. I'm not saying you were, but what i am saying is that requesting this forum be for ITR owners only to post is extreme. I understand your frustration with posts that don't belong here, but such is life. Kindly inform the OP that he has requested information in the wrong section, report the thread and move on.
For years, ITR owners have been labeled by the way we interpret our status, which to most is elitist ********. If we ever want that to change or this forum to change for the better we have to start handling these types of situations more maturely.
Paul, come to EXPO and you'll leave realizing how influenced this community is by guys who have for years not owned an ITR or in some cases never have. Here again is why we strongly recommend that newer owners come out to ITR specific events to learn what this community is all about.
This thread deffinitly has gotten out of hand, espcially considering the fact that after about 18 replys, you still have not been told an answer.
Yes the wheels will fit. Both vehicles follow the same lug pattern, 5x114.3.

u already answer his question in the second reply
If this were the case EXPO would have not taken place for the last 5 years. Of the major players in helping make the event happen each year, one of us has an ITR. You younger guys can't quite grasp how this place used to be run.

Honestly, let them suffer a bit of "elitism" when they come in here and ask stupid questions. We should not be expected to spoon-feed them. Moreover, do you really want the ITR forum full of questions like the original in this thread? I don't.
While requiring a badge may be asking a lot, the idea idea still exists (as I mentioned in the other thread) that we don't need the clutter of questions asking what part will fit on their 'Lude beater.
FWIW, someone who truly wants to try an HPDE or the ITR expo would probably know their bolt-pattern is 5x114--or they would do a search and find out.
Todd,
I'll agree with you as well. I just feel strongly about trying our hardest to be a big brother to the younger guys. I feel like if we don't, the ITR population is going to become even further apart than it is now.
Take myself for example. I was once the young punk kid who thought he knew everything about an ITR well before i ever owned one. I was sincerely excited to find a community where everyone had one thing in common...the ITR.
I was put in my place real quick when i asked a stupid question, and we all did it. The important thing was that i knew my role as a young punk kid and instead of trying to fight the OGs i resepectfully shut my mouth. From that point forward i opted to sit back and just read for a few weeks, before i honestly felt like i could contribute to the posts.
After attending EXPO for the very first time as a youngster, i quickly realized how accomodating and friendly everyone was, and that their online personality didn't necessarily parallel how they were in person. In fact some real online ******** turned out to be great people that are to this day best friends of mine.
While i'll agree that the way i learned was best, i feel we can suggest our ways by setting an example as well. All i'm saying is that i am going to do my best to help the youngsters around here understand where this community once was, is now, and the direction we would like it to go in the future.

There was a time when these cars held a higher value. Enthusiasts spent many sleepless nights, countless hours, and a LOT of money trying to push the boundaries. Many of them moved on to newer platforms or different hobbies as their lives progressed. Why prevent them from posting? For somebody to request an ITR forum, exclusive to current owners, is absurd in my opinion.

I do appreciate the new guys who are now buying the ITR as their dreamcar (middle/high school kids back when the R was out), but some of the posters are just coming in here thinking that the ITR is either 1) riceboys wet dream 2) Nothing more than a GSR with a few more HP 3) A great platform to earn mega JDM showpoints with
I'm just tired of it. Probably saddened more than anything, as this place was once the most technical Honda place on the internet.
