help shift linkage ....removal ....

Default help shift linkage ....removal ....

So I'm taking off my zc and everythin is out except the linkage connected to the tranny and there's no way to remove it ...it got dark so I'm looking for answers any help ... ??

take the metal ring around the linkage find a bolt or something to hit the pin out and other side is just the bolt

You have to wack that Spring Pin hard to get it out. Hitting the shifter shaft on the tranny to do so isn't a good idea. Theres much easier and less dangerous ways.

So the best way is jus to get the tranny and motor with that attached and take it off when the engine is out ?

No, you can do it on the car, the pictures provided in that link I posted before shows the linkage out of the car most likely for better pictures. You can do it on the car.

i removed mine using an extended torq bit and a hammer.

I just left it on and took it out with the tranny. Didn't feel like fing with it and I didn't need to take it off if I didn't have to.
