~Idle Issues Throughout My Drive
hmm well after reading up on this FAQ..
https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-6/%2A%2A%2A-how-%2A%2A%2A-clean-your-fitv-aka-fast-idle-thermo-valve-1564019/
i have these problems:
-High idle before your car warms up, above 1500-1800rpm
-Lumpy idle
-Roaming idle
-Hunting idle
-Fluctuating idle
it states if your car is a 96+ your car doesn't have a FITV. How can i fix my problem if this is true?

if so running or not running?
ive taken it off the manifold before and did that stuff, but im wondering can u do it without takin it apart?
Do it while the car is running, but still doesn't guarantee that you're actually cleaning it thoroughly. I would just take it off. Just 3-10mm bolts.
Hold up... How the hell would you clean this thing with the car running? To clean it, you have to take it completely off the manifold, so having the car on or off wouldn't matter. There's a little gasket it in that has a wire mesh screen in it. That screen gets covered in carbon. That, and the valve itself is what you have to clean out. Read the FAQ thing, it'll help more then this.
if it doesnt help after you clean it agian, the iacv could be faulty, if youve got a friend with the same car, try theres out or just buy a new one.
but imo
save urself the time and materials and costs and just buy a new one their cheap as hell
prolly get one brand new for the same amount of $ u spend in brake cleaner and time and headach of taking it off.
those bolts r hard to get at lol
