Default pm6 pr4? 2k

Im kind of stumped was running a pm6 idle was fine but threw code 1 and ran like crap. Just picked up a pr4 which got rid of the code 1 but now throws code 12 emission which is normal for an hf swap. It runs better but idles at 2000 rpm?? any ideas. With pm6 it idled fine right at 600-900 factory.

well, readjust your ignition timing and set your idle mechanically, first, then see what happens

That is kind of what i though but then couldnt see why it wouldnt ping under load... with it advanced so far. I dont know, why is it that an ecu in block learn cant retard its ignition timing to idle on its own. Or not surge that is the most annoying thing about honda's ive had 4 now and everyone has had a hunting idle at some point. 3 of them were just a matter of clean iacv or low oil in a h22a4 (who knew) and one of them i never figured out. I think it had something to do with the evap breather on block being cracked. sorry fellas just hatin i miss my rb20det zenki. I think that is the one thing Nissan hit on the nose idle. Wiring, diagnostics and def. WIRING they F'd up and honda wins that.

Ok back to my question guys.

so correct if im wrong PLEASE
(when fixing the car you bought off a bud that is rigged
1st-plug in correct ecu for engine
2nd-jump connector to put into "diagnostic mode"
3rd-inspect idle speed after warm by disconnecting iacv connector
4th-check idle adjust accordingly: turn off car put neg.pos. together to rest ecu
5th-restart vehicle check ignition timing(pray it dont hunt haha they all do a little)
6th-if its not good pull codes that dont mean crap like emission and just live with a honda that never runs perfect but runs and runs and runs and runs........

Thanks for reading hope you guys enjoy! Please feel free to provide input i know some of the most experienced honda" guys well did... and they even are on the same page as me wtf. right.

I think someone needs to make a guide called""make your honda run right"" takes 500hours of diagnostics tests and cleaning iacv checking tps and map ohm readings. Alternator battery tests parasitic load tests leak down compression test oil psi.

And after you do all that it probly still will idle like poop sometimes. So im thinking carb. where the heck i get that kind of set up at!
