Happy New Year H-T members. My friend has a 96ls 2dr with a gsr swap. this is what i know and saw so far. his head lights tail lights and cluster lights went out, they tried running straight power to the cluster(after i said not to) which made the lights work but his fulel gauge wasn't working so they ran a wire straight from the fuel pump (12+ yellow wire) don't know why, but thats where it went all bad. car wont start now or now power to the fuse box or fuel pump. i went over there last night and took a look it the light harness was all jacked up (previous owner did a shitty wire tuck or tried to). i saw that they replaced most fuses with higher amp ones which i think lead to the short. I did see one wire totally fried w/b wire from the dash harness to the fuse box. my question for now is, which wire is it that runs to the underdash fuse box for power. nay help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

 

the best thing do is put every thing back the way it should be and start over. if you can, get another harness. amd i think there is more than just one wire for the fuse box. best way to find out is with the manual. just bought one lastnite for $5 on ebay.
