Default does this sway bar work with my car?

Car: 2000 Civic EX

http://passwordjdm.com/JDM-EK-96-00-...P1440C166.aspx

I have function 7 control arms, and have an ASR brace on the way.... can i run regular SI endlinks with my function 7 control arms? the only reason i ask is because i know the LCA's have 3 different settings on them for stiffness.

also where can i find some D-brackets to work with this setup?

The holes of the F7 arms are too deep for the OEM endlinks. You'd have to use spherical endlinks like I described in your previous post (that's only one page away btw)

The ASR brace will work perfectly with the EK9 22mm swaybar. You can use the OEM EK9 22mm D-brackets and bushings.

ok sorry now after looking back i did find it....ok so, i know ASR makes some spherical endlinks

so now i need

1. spherical endlinks(such as ASR)
2. OEM EK9 d-brackets and bushings....where can i find some......or could i just use these? https://www.heeltoeauto.com/Prothane...-pr-42008.html

that website seems to be TSX/TL specific but this D-brackets looks to be pretty similar to the ones used for the civics.....

You can get the OEM bushings (52315-S03-Z01) threw PWJDM if you buy the swaybar from them. In itself these are a small cost but you have to find them, they are not available from US Honda (here in Europe they are, have them myself)

The EK9 D-brackets are the same ones as used on the ITR and USDM Prelude so these you can buy yourself (52308-SS0-000 $5.50), that's why they are not offered by PWJDM.

So the ITR also features 22mm bushings (Acura 52315-ST7-Z01), they are a diff part# from the EK9 but I don't see why they wouldn't fit, you could try since these are a small cost.

You could indeed also use those PU as offered in your link.

ok gotcha, thanks for including the parts number as well

so you said to use a spherical end link kit..the one made by ASR is only compatible with the 24mm ASR bar..

that leaves me with these.

or

http://jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewPrd.a...idproduct=1963

the 2nd ones are a heim style....will they work?

I think the 'non-compatibility' of the ASRs is bs since their swaybars are OEM style and especially the 24mm since you can use this with OEM EK endlinks.

To be sure the Blox will do fine.

What 'heim' style is I do not know but they are specific for ITR so they mention (ITR/EG swaybar link-hole is diff from EK style)

The endlink bushings offered by ASR are for ITR/EG style swaybars and endlinks, not for EK style swaybars - the swaybar link hole is different.

So the Blox set in itself will fit fine without extra parts.

The sway in the pic is without any doubt an EK9 one: EK style has flat and thin endlink holes, ITR/EG style has a deep, cillinder like endlink hole.

Also ITR/EG sway is more curly shaped at the ends.

Pic of my EK9 sway laying around, with part of the broken-off endlink still attached:

In principle yes.

Two remarks:

If you order an EK9 sway from that website be sure to specify you want the EK9 one (as in the pic) and not the ITR one, I highly suspect they would send you an ITR one.

From what I hear locally Blox endlinks tend to rust, for such endlinks in general this has been denied here on HT, so maybe you'd want another brand for that but I wouldn't know.

Both these issues have been discussed in another topic here in which I participated, maybe you should read it.

Check here (several posts on several pages) for a discussion on spherical endlinks and rust + a discussion on EK-ITR sway difference. Maybe also check out my other posts concerning sway bars.

ive heard the same about blox endlinks, but i hear good and bad things about everything. im not really wanting to spend 45 more dollars for the ASR spherical endlinks if im not positive they will work with the CTR bar. and im not really sure what my other options would be if i need a spherical end link.

i'd be interested to read up on this link your posting though.
