I have a 2002 honda accord 4 door and my left rear door wont open it was locked with the child protection switch on , and the outside door handle dose not work. what can i do to get door to open?

 

Five options I can think of...


- Pull the door panel off (it's possible, I've done it before) and move the rod up to open door.

- Use a slim jim for anywhere from 20 minutes to 20 hours trying to pull the rod up to open the door. I'm pretty good at this, I would go this route, but if you've never done it before, don't even try it.

- Break the outside door handle, stick your hand in there and pull the rod up. This will probably require an hour or two worth of drilling and chiseling.

- Pay someone else to do it.
