Tires
Hey, wondering what tires are u guys using on your cars. I will only drive this car when its dry out and Im gonna have a street tune of about 400whp. I was looking at the toyo 888s any other suggestions. And I know theres a tire thread but I own an R and wanted to post it here!
Don't get R compound track tires like the R888. Track tires are designed so that they don't grip until they get some heat in them, from screaming around the corners for at least a lap or so on the racetrack. And they don't last very long, either.
What you want are the best "extreme performance summer tires", as Tire Rack calls them. For an ITR with 15" wheels, these include:
Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 195/55-15
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 205/50-15
Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 205/50-15
Kumho Ecsta XS 205/50-15
Toyo Proxes R1R 195/55-15 and 205/50-15
The Dunlop and Kumho are less expensive than the other three. And all of these offer superb grip, the best grip you can buy in a street tire. You'll find a side-by-side comparison test of the first four tires on the Tire Rack website at http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=118
The RE-01R has been discontinued. And the Azenis is no longer the class leader, as all of the above offer better grip and longer treadlife. I would bet money that Falken is working on developing an Azenis replacement right now, to keep up with the competition.
Note that these are the best for your stated needs. Some people might have different needs - some tires are less expensive than these, all other street tires will last longer than these, and these tires won't grip in snow or extreme cold. But these are the best for someone concerned only with grip on dry pavement, for street use.

You can get the RE-11 or R1R in 205/45-16, or you can get the XS in 215/45-16. (The Star Spec and AD08 don't come in 16" sizes to fit Integras.)
So if you want the RE-11, get 205/45-16.
You're running 400hp in a FWD car. It's not really going to matter much what tire you buy, to be honest. Just get on one of the cheaper ones ken mentioned and you'll be fine.
