Need help, My 01 Civic ex auto. I was driving about a week ago all of sudden the car stalls out on me while I was on the road, got it towed to the house, anyway, the vehicle behavior is that, I start it will start no problem but about one second later it stalls out repeatedly so far I check the Fuel and spark which I am getting both, My friend suggested that it is possible that engine ECU (Computer) might be shorted out he also said these civic are pretty common on ECU issue's, need resolve quickly please any suggestion will help Thanks in advance.

 

Is your MIL illuminated? Are there any codes?

 

You know what i didn't look at any check engine light or codes good idea, I better check that soon, How would I get the codes with snap on scanner? thanks.

 

i actually have the same prob no cel, fuel and spark ok, same symptoms just died out on me, will run for a second then just quit

Thanks, for the web info. sound like I need to instigate more for ECU/alternator issue, I will check it tomorrow...

 

OK, I did found out the problem with my vehicle, by paying the dealer to diagnose the problem the timing jump one tooth, took it apart change and align the timing start right up.
