Mishimoto Radiator in 90 CRX si: Won't Fit?
Hey Guys,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
I bought this radiator off of ebay (I know, shouldn't purchase **** off ebay) and it came and looked legit but I cannot fit it in the CRX. I have a 1990 CRX si with a d16a6/s6 mini-me finishing a high compression build, so I decided to get a nice radiator. Mishimoto's website said these are supposed to be direct OEM replacements. "Mishimoto Radiators are designed for a direct fit on OEM applications to upgrade the cooling system." - directly from the website... The problem is that it cannot fit past the front crossmember to sit in the lower radiator support brackets... Please help me out fellas =\
DISCLAIMER: The company I purchased this radiator from is in fact a certified Mishimoto vendor and has in no way faked me on this purchase.
Thanks a bunch,
Brian

i have no help with the radiator but noticed you are from midlo. i am 10 minutes south of midlothian. might see you around one day in my crx.
Try to match it up with your old radiator to see if the mounting tabs are correct. Check the part number with Mishimoto website to see if it's the correct part number. They might have sent you the wrong model.

After looking at the pics in that website I think you have something bent in the front of your car. May have been hit in the front at one time. The aftermarket radiators are thicker than the stock ones and take up a little more room. You may have to pull the lower mount back so the radiator will clear the crossmember.

Had the same problem with my misi radiator. I cut off the little slot tab on the bottom I think were the AC fan slips into and also trim about 1/4 inch (give or take) off the front crossmember.

Oy.... Is this safe? I have been told by a couple other individuals to beat the radiator support forward a little bit....
