hi i need help , i got a 91 civic si hb with the jap engine the 1.6l zc. was driving and pulled out into traffic and accelerated and check engine light came on, popped code nine, check all parts of distributer and reading proper resistence and proper ohms, wiggled wire harness going from distributer to fuse box and turn one way engine runs fine, turnto other way engine starts to die, i figure its a wire thats loose or a ground, wanted to know if anybodys encountered this and which color wire was your problem, tomaro going to check ohms from one end to other end of each color wire and see which one it is, it sucks cause it lags sometimes cause if you hit a hard bump it misfires and rpms go down cause wire moves and looses a little contact, pissing me off as i dont want to cut open harness and test each wire, thanks

 

hey i had this issue before on my old zc if all your wiring is correct the you need a new dizzy .

 

SOHC ZC or DOHC ZC?

 

If it is DOHC then I think its the butt ugly box (CPS) next to the Dizzy on the EX cam.
