Welcome to the forums. Your car looks beautiful. I'd suggest you start by getting a maintenance manual if you haven't already. How long have you had the del sol?

performance is so general, give us an idea what you want to do to the car first, start with turbo or n/a(naturally aspired), both require new bolt-ons, headers, intake, exhaust. Gets really technical with building the engine. OH GODDDD YOUR QUESTION IS JUST TO DAMN VAGUE. askfdl;asdjmfjasd;'fjsad'fjasdfasdfjlsdflasjdf.... .sorry excuse my language.

First off-details. What trim line is it-S or an Si? Then, like JDMeg2si said you need to decide what kind of performance do you really want? are you looking for all-motor power? maximum horsepower? top-end acceleration? handling? what you do depends on what exactly you want from your car. then you have to decide on how much performance you can afford-and then go from there-most of all, have fun!!!!

ok sorry for such a vague question. well i have had the car for 10 monthes now. i have put most of the bolt on parts i can think of really. i have a short ram intake, thorttle body spacer, header, full exhaust, performance wires and plugs, upper front strut bar, lower rear tie bar, and lowering springs. yes it is also the original paint job. my trim level is the base model of S. i have the d15 motor i believe. its sohc non vtech. i would love to do naturally aspirated cuz you always see a honda with a turbo but not many with natural aspiration. thank yall for comments and suggestions

If you want naturally aspirated power, a swap is really your only option. The d series won't deliver much.

Your car looks nice though, nice job so far.

you need to build the bottom end so when you put the turbo on you dont blow the engine. i would sugest geting performance jets and fuel rail. cause when you add more air you need more fuel to compinsate for the added air.and i would also sugest geting either an upgraded ecu from http://hondata.com/ so you can better controller your car and you realy dont want to cheap out on a turbo kit either. this isnt neccesary but an eltronic boost controller like this one http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/...t00065205.html will make ajusting your turbo much more eficent. then when you get done installing everything you will most likely need a tune.

1. maintenance manual for your car and then a maintenance manual FOR A DIFFERENT ENGINE...

"why?" you say?... I'm so glad you asked!!! :D ... VVVVV

2. engine swap hands down... putting a turbo on a stock D-series SOHC is gonna' disappoint you I think... If you have the money, experienced honda friends and a "jump in and learn" kinda' attitude ... K-series and the sky is the limit... If you wanna' stick w/ something a little more tame and been done a million times then B-series... of the B18 persuasion in particular would be good for your set up I believe (turbo charging right?)... buying a complete turbo kit, installed and tuned for your STOCK d-series engine is going to cost as much IF NOT MORE than doing an engine swap that might be a bit slower than the turbo set up... just my .02 cents but whatever you do you, just enjoy it for what it is... CHEERZ!!!

p.s. full B18a and B18b swaps are stupid cheap btw...
