hit and run! hood wont open!
such bullshit...
exiting a taco bell here in Monrovia at the corner of Huntington/Myrtle, there is a little embankment while exiting out of one of their driveways and some early 90's truck was in front of me. i was a good 3 or 4 feet behind him and he starts rolling back, before i could put it in reverse he smacks me with his tow hitch...the passenger looks back and they smash out!
i COULD have chased, but they would have outran me, im more worried about the car than anything else. obviously no insurance or license but whatever.
i cant open my hood, when i pull the lever, it DOES pop up, but the underhood latch wont release or its pinched i dont know. how the hell can i open the hood? just pry and pry until it comes free? here are pics.
oh, good news is that Pick-a-Part is having a 50% off sale Friday! haha

an early 90's truck would have outran you? r u shore? lol
since the hood is toast i would just bend the crap out of it till you can reach the latch mechanism and unjam whatever's preventing it from opening.
edit: yea taking the bumper off would work to lol

finding the a good straight filler piece might be tricky though.
If I remember correctly, the upper part of the T-bar is held on with 4 bolts. You can see one of them (the one to the right) in this pic.
I believe there is one more above it and then 2 more on the other side.
If you can unbolt all 4 then the one bolt at the bottom of the T (goes into lower part of radiator support) Then you should be able to get it freed up so you can disengage the hood latch.

yea its 4 bolts on each side, the two side by side in that pic, and also two a couple inches above them. same for the other side.
well, heres to hoping my new hood and T-bar will make things right!
