Thermastat Wont Open up???? HHHEELLPPP
thermastat wont open up for some reason. i changed it 3 times with new 1's and still no luck.. the car will just idle high bottom hose is cold. it will start to overheat.. someone please helpp
Did you make sure you put the thermostat in the right way? Is your fan kicking on? How much fluid do you have in there? Did you bleed the air out of the system using the lil zerc fitting next the the thermostat housing(i think there's one there)?
Not all motors have the bleeder valve. If it has it use it. If not let it idle for a while with the rad cap off. You may have a clog that is not letting the coolant cycle. Is your water pump functioning?

thats why the fan is not hooked up hook it up, and nother take the ****ing thrmo out. lol just my ideo i have never ran a thrmo car runs great never had any problems
Why's the fan disconnected?
When you start it, how long it run for before you notice it overheating?
How many miles are on the engine?
Do you know when was the last time the waterpump was replaced if ever?
my bet is that there is air in the system, you need to let the car idle with the cap off after you fill the radiator back up. pump the upper and lower hoses with your hands to help it along if needed.
did you check to see if there are tiny tiny holes in your tubing? that can cause the thermostat to not work at all. to test out your thermostats before putting in, throw it in a pot of boiling hot water to see if it opens up.
check for leaks, anywhere, everywhere where coolant runs through and rig up a switch to run your radiator fan to turn on manually.
look them over, and let us know. gl
