In/out axle play
The latest mod to my car (97 Civic D16Y8 ) requires moving the engine 1/2 inch to the passenger side of the engine bay. The driver's side axle will need to extend 1/2 inch and the passenger side will compress 1/2 inch.
Has anyone ever done something like this before?
Does anyone know what the in/out play of the axle joints are? I believe the inbound joint has the play built into it.
According to the NAPA on-line web site they list the compressed length of their reman axles for a 97 Civic as:
Passenger 24 1/2", Driver's side 35 9/16".
I've already done a lot of searching and don't have any good information.

This thread is about axle play or any other issue with moving the engine in the bay 1/2 inch toward the passenger side. Save yourself some time by not commenting on the shock tower or anything else.
So far I have no issues with wiring harnesses, hoses, or shift linkage.
This is not a JRSC setup.
