ARP head stud problem

Default ARP head stud problem

i got a new set of arp head studs and i put them in hand tight one of them is longer then the rest and i need a deep socket to put it in is that normal? or should it be in a different place?

From what I remember, the stud that sits closest to the thermostat does stick up a little bit more than the rest, this is normal. Good luck

move the long one to the hole nearest the thermostate hole. also make sure you are pretorquing the studs to the right psi before torquing the nuts on them.

Is that the only one tha needs 2 be in there specific place or do others need to be in certain spots? I only put them in hand tight like the instructions told me

The tallest stud goes closest to the thermostat. Take it out from where it is and move it. I'm amazed the instructions didn't say.

not sure about different length but make sure you clean out the thread holes with air before installing them and good luck

yeh wtf...

maybe there is a something down in the hole for the headstud. if I were you, I would remove them all and blow out the holes with electrical cleaner and compressed air. simple simple easy-peasey.

post up your solution, I may encounter el problemo in soon upcoming monfs.
