i have installed the 90 crx si dash into my 91 civic hatch dx and the 90 si dashwire dont plug into the hatch dx (box under stearing wheel) forceing me to use the hatch dx wireing/ gauge cluster/ dash buttons that dont fit correctly in the crx dash.. id like to use the crx si gauge cluster nd the correct dash buttons so the ones i got arent hanging out the holes LOL.. ive serched and found nohting on the wireing part of the crx dash conversion...

help would be greatly apreciated thanks...

 

the plugs should be the same since they are both from the same years (90-91).
i've done two crx dash swaps on my first and second EF. first was a 88crx si dash into my 89dx. second was a 89crx si to my 90dx.
all i had to do was to swap the dash harness. everything was plug and play..

 

Boy if someone ever made a CRX to DX harness adapter I bet they would make a killing, I'm seeing a bunch of people (including myself) wondering how to do this to have a clean tach on the dash.

The only thing I know about the wiring harness is that the blue wire on the harness goes to nothing on the DX but on the Si and CRX it goes to tach...if that helps any...

 

will the 88 ef SI dash gauges fit into a 91 dx

 

I tried to put a si dash in my 90 civic dx... the dx dash doesnt have the rpm gauge and when i clipped up the si dash (with the rpm)... everything was out of whack... the break lite would stay on wit the E break down.... and other lites would come on when they shouldnt. and the car wouldnt start. ?!?

 

I have an 88 si gauge cluster in my 89 Hf and I could never get the temp gauge working.

 

Its a SI dash im tryna clip to my dx wire harness... i re-routed most of the wires so when they clip in would work correctly on the dash... the car turns on but my check engine, gas gauge, and temp gauge dont work properly. the rpm gauge im not really worried bout cuz it wasnt there before and i have to add it in.. but i cant seem to figure which wire would be for the check engine, oil, i believe the negative on the fuel and the negative on the temp... i almost had this down. Now reading the haynes book some of the wires match the colors i have but some of them dont.

 

Ok so i got a 90 civic sedan dx model would i be able to tranfer the dash dash harness and rear. Harness from a 91crx dx
