Does anyone know of a reliable company that deals with car warranties?

I would like to get some ideas before my warranty expires.

Don't buy it. Extended warranties in general are never worth it. You can either throw $100 a month at a warranty company and loose it if you never make a claim. Or pay the same $100 to an investment (Money market acct. with check writing), not loose the money and make some interest on top.

 

yep. good stuff. warranty companies make a profit because they figured out that what they charge in total is what they pay out (maybe less), but the interest that they make on everyone's payment goes straight to the bank

not worth it, unless you have an auto v6. then it comes down to the monthly payment amount

 

if your gonna do extended warranty get honda care...other then that dont waist your money...people bring those aftermarket warranty companies to my job all the time (honda dealer) and they never cover crap..

 

If you go the Honda Care route, check out Saccucci Honda. I got my warranty online thru them for a decent price.

 

Even Honda care is a bad deal.

 

When you consider the money these warranty companies collect has to pay for each employee's salary, and all business expenses, plus a little profit. All these expenses, added to what they pay out in claims, means the customer is being ripped off 99% of the time. The chances that you will save money, with an extended warranty, are very very slim. I know a lot of people who will not own a car that doesn't have warranty coverage on it. They think a car will automatically fall apart, as soon as the warranty runs out. I don't understand this reasoning at all, and will not pay for extended warranties. To me, it's like a fear of flying. You can tell them it's safer sitting in a plane, than sitting in their car, but logic doesn't seem to lessen the fear.
