ok i have a question ive heard that 5 lug base hubs, and ep3 hubs work with our d17 axles.. i have a question. has any one made a custom axle using a d17 tranny side and a type s hub side. i know some people when running h22 they make frankenstein axles using h22 and b16 or b18. im wondering if i can do something similar using the d17 insides and k20 type s outside..

Yeah fventura03 is running his like that. He has the RSXS outer axles welded to the D17 shaft, at the outer CV joint.
Or you can be like me and have base RSX hubs with RSXS calipers/rotors . They bolt right up, just need to bend the dust shield back a little, for the rotor to clear.
