no the 2 have nothing in common. it would be a easy set up though. u need the hub from a k seris car to do the swap. but the 5 lug will not effect the motor at all. you will need custom axles made though. the hub is bigger on the 5 lug set up then our stock hub. and i dont think anybody makes an axle that fits the 2 sides

If you get base RSX front hubs, you can use your existing D17 axle. Type S hubs you will need to get the outer axle end (from a type S) welded to the D17 axle shaft

i thought k series hubs are bigger then ours. if you use base rsx hubs how will out stock axle fit into the k tranny? or maybe i am misunderstanding.

The type S front hub is bigger, to accommodate the bigger brakes. The EM2 front axle the base RSX and EP3 hubs, no problem. . The outer axle ends are the same, but the inner is different, obviously.

K20A2 hubs have larger bores than the standard D17's, but you can utilize K20A3 hubs, to accomplish 5-lug without hub bore diameter changes.

about how much would it cost to do the 5 lug conversion?
and i'm guessing the rear hub (i guess you would call it) off of a base rsx would work for the rear?
sorry i'm new to civics. i just got one after i sold my 06 mustang
