Ive got an akimoto intake for my 97 teg which i picked up from my friend. The intake makes a high pitched whistling noise when i gas. My friend told me that i can adjust the noise but doesn't know how. Any info on how to turn off that whistling noise? Thanks

 

the whistling is caused by friction between the air and the intake/filter and is normal, i've never heard on anything that allows you to adjust it, and i wouldnt think you could, everyones does it, i love the whistling sound of mine!

 

the whistling noise is normal.. I've never heard of a method to adjust the intake/whistling noise.. does he mean you can adjust the idle speed via the idle adjustment screw or was he talking about something else? I dunnoz never heard of being able to change the whistling noise..

 

man that whistling is the best. i just got a skunk2 intake manifold and it whistles even more. i dont know why you want to get rid of it. that sounds rules.

 

lol i use to like the whistling noise but after awhile its gettin kind of irratating. Well if anyone wants to trade with me give me a holler
