in the process of building my car, its a 93 dx hatch. i bought it as a shell. it was automatic, i converted it to manual, and i currently have my gsr turbo set up in it, but i picked up a k20a3 swap from my friend who wrecked his ep3 and was parting it out. i know the k20a3 is weak compared to the k20a2, but my question is should i just finish my gsr turbo, or sell the gsr and work on swapping the k20? the gsr has bone stock internals, with type r cams and bolt ons.

 

stick with gsr. my brother told me he raced a ep3 with his eclipse gst. rolling start and said it was like a fly by

 

yeah i know the ep3's arent that fast, but with a type s head and in such a light body it could be fast, my friend has a k20a2 swap in his eg coupe, and he's hitting low 12's with a stock motor

 

low 12's. i have a hard time believing that. im not flaming but a k20 stock internals in low 12's? stick with gsr i say.

 

if ur gonna go K series, go with a k20a2 not a k20a3

its easy, a GSr on boost will mop a stock k20 day in and day out. and its cheaper in the long run.

 

wouldnt it pretty much be a k20a2 if i swap the head onto the a3 bottom end?
