The Z6 is much larger. The D16Y8 is a 1.6L VTEC motor and the D15B uses the D16Z6 head casting, which is another 1.6L VTEC motor (basically the D16Y8's older brother).

Just putting the Z6 throttle body on won't do a whole lot, the Z1 motor is designed for fuel economy and honestly you're better off just find a whole Z6 swap. The Z1 rods are only strong enough for what the Z1 was designed for, the motor is only 1.5L, the engine will have very low compression with a Z6 head swapped on.

then the "semi-built" z6 was running a stock tune, running the a/c on, and had bad plugs or someother issue. (not to mention everyone lies about what they got, it was prolly a cx motor with an intake) plus your flow is setup so horribly for power that these mods will do NOTHING for you. you cant get a gas-saving engine and expect to be fast. i mean, you CAN change the pistons and rods for better ones, but a z6 head on there with the upgrades you talking about and be somewhat fast, but you get a z6 swap for way less $$$. and use the extra money for some NOS or a cam or both.
