I am planning to buy a CRX hopefully in the very near future once my other car is sold. I have never owned a CRX before so I thought I'd see if I could get some useful advice. First of all I'll be getting an 88-91 version for sure, I'm not fond of how the earlier models look. I want to buy one purely for the gas milage so hopefully I'll be able to find one without a whole lot of mods to it. Is there anything specific I should look for when I inspect a CRX I'm considering buying? Any common trouble spots that I could easily over-look when I go over the vehicle? Anything to watch out for on the CRX like fault engines with a certain VIN code, etc? Any information provided will be much appreciated, thank you.

Yeah I've been looking at the HF models those look like they get great milage, my only problem is finding one that hasn't been swapped. Even so I might buy a swapped CRX and sell the engine swap and buy a regular HF engine.

 

craigslist in california is loaded with many ef civic/crx models...just take your time,research and ask questions...!!!

 

Yes I've found quite a few on craigslist in the Bay Area where I live but I'm not quite ready to purchase yet, I need to sell my Del Sol before I do anything else.

How easily accessable are D15B6 engines these days? Do I have to visit a junk yard or can I find them elsewhere?
