Default Problems passing MD Emissions! Help!

Hey guys, I need to pass my emissions now, theyre not granting me any more extensions. i tried the whole too low thing but they just gave me a further extension.

problem is, i have a OBD2 car (98 HX) with a OBD-1 motor (JDM B16). Now the guy I bought it from said he hooked it up so there is a o2 sensor hook up on the inside of my car, near the ECU. I would have to get a ECU from a 00 SI and a o2 Sensor from the 96-00 civics, and also a catalytic converter from the same years as well.

Does this sound correct? or is there any other solutions? I have bought the ECU and the o2 sensor, im just now trying to get the catalytic converter.

thanks guys

yes that sounds correct also get a can of seafoam and premium gas run the seafoam through in one tank of gas w/ premium then before you go in get premium gas again and drive around so your engine warms up (this really helps a lot never go in with a cold engine) This is what helped me pass.

i don't see how seafoam would help. obd2 inspections don't have a gas analyzer. it uses the on board computer to check if monitors are good and no cel is on. you don't need a cat. you can get that spark plug defouler and put the secondary o2 into that. and you should be able to pass that once the monitors are ready.

checklist:
obd2a vtec ecu
post-cat o2 sensor
Plug Defouler

We have "plug in" emission in RI too. A P2T ECU + OBD2a-OBD2b conversion harness + ANY cat w/ a secondary 02 sensor will get you by. If it's not throwing a CEL for Secondary 02/catalyst, you're through.

the plug defouler will put the oxygensensor far enough from the exhaust emission to fool the computer into thinking that there's a cat in the car. allowing you to pass obd2 inspections without having to deal with putting a cat in. unless the place you take your car to actually looks in your engine bay and underneath your car.

Westminster. Go o the Westminster emissions, there's cool people there and will just pass you if your car is really low, therefore no need to worry about failing anything else
