I have my 91 tails for sale if you want to try them out... cheap.
I believe they bolt right up.

To use 90-91 sedan tailights on a 88-89 sedan you will have to cut the metal on your back panel (where your taillights mount to) to clear the bulbs + make sure to get the wire harness for the 90-91 tails you will have to splice wires to make it work (i had 91 tails on my old 89 sedan with the all red 89 center section)
so your saying i have to cut the mounts for the taillight ?then how do i mount the lights im a little lost lol and as far as wire it not just extending the wires
No you cut on the metal on the BODY to clear the extra bulbs,90-91 tails have 2 brake lights per side, just get the tail lights and cheak it out it will make sense. You'll have to splice in to your rear harness because 88-89 tails have 1 brake light per side as 90-91 has 2. I'm tryin' NOT to be a dick but.....Have you ever changed a tail light before???
"you will have to cut the metal on your back panel (where your taillights mount to)" like i said earlier,I can't make it anymore clearer,There is no metal on the tail light just metal mounting studs, the back panel is like a reverse core support where you Tail lights mount to,you WILL have to cut that!! (unless you have a 90-91 shell)
