LS/VTEC in CRX Started but now won't start again! HELP!!!
Well I got my CRX running but it started to overheat so I shut it off. After we let it cool down it wouldn't start again. There is no spark, and we have gas. We've come up with these solutions: ECU, Main relay, Distributor. Does anyone have a clue what it might be? I want to get my car running before I have to leave!
does you car have a check engine light? it should! if it was your dizzy, You would have a check engine light on..... or check the obvious.... check you cap.... maybe the prongs inside are worn down, then check the rotor..... maybe you need new wires...... pull the plugs out and check the condition of them..... if it were your main relay your fuel pump would not prime... so listen for the fuel pump when you cut the car on...... if your getting fuel then that means your resistor box is working...... as far as spark goes check all the things i mentioned, pm me if you have more questions or simply call (908)-966-7838 anytime! name is D
Thanks a lot! I'll check all those things. We were just really stumped as to why it started, and then now won't start again. The spark plugs are brand new so that's one thing I can check off the list. Now that you mention it I don't think the fuel pump has been coming on...So new fuel=need a new main relay=no spark? I'll check all that today and post up what I get.

Well the cap and rotor both have less than 20k on them so they looked great. I clean off the points just in case. The fuel pump isn't coming on so I'll be replacing the Main relay tomorrow when the part comes in. It makes sense that it's the relay so I hope it works!
I replaced the main relay today and that did the trick for getting spark. Now the car wants to start really really bad but just wont completely start. It gets spark and gas and the header starts to get hot. I can't figure out why it won't start. Anybody have any ideas what I should try or what is might be? It has brand new plugs in it, but I looked at them and they look pretty fouled already.
