Default H23 in 94' accord??

Ive got a buddy who just bought an accord. The engine is pretty much toast. Anyway, he can get a h23 for $600 for the complete swap. Do any of u run this setup and how do u like it? Any info would be appreciated.

that ******* bastard guy!! I had EVERYTHING for an h23 swap but the engines i got were garbage. Its a killer swap if that engine is good for only 600 bones. Run a search, everything is the same cept for wiring, which doesnt require the VTEC wite splicing like the h22a does.

You need to start a thread describing exactly what happened with all your car stuff.

1st h23a1 : I put timing belt/water pump on, all other belts, day before dropping in I hear a "click" when turning crank over. Turns out the valves were bent. 4 of them. The junkyard offered me $300 to repair them. I told them they could buy a $300 spoon to eat my *** and demanded my money or another engine.

2nd H23a1 : Cracked block. Nuff Said.

Man junkyards are so shady I hate them.

They wouldnt swap heads off the 2nd H23 -> the 1st one or you said hell with it?

The F22A1 block I sent to golden eagle ... I got the whole longblock from a junkyard and get this I call him:

Me: I need F22A1:
Him: $200.00
Me: sold.
.... i drive a friends truck to junkyard ...
Him: $450.00
Me: huh?
Him: $250 core for your old engine.
Me: pound sand

I told him to goto hell and what would he want a ragged out F22A1 for anyway except to sell to the next sucker... finally i got outta there @ $250.00.

with stock valve adjustments and stock timing it would peak power @ about 7400rpms

but with vary lose valve adjustments timing well retard running a little lean i could make power till about 7800rpms but i was taking it till 8000 at the track so i could fall back in power band going through the gears
