Jackal's DIY: Quick fix for busted door handle plastic
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever had this problem. I think pretty much every EJ1 I've built (going on #5 now) has suffered from this problem at one point or another.
So here is a DIY for a quick fix of that busted door plastic...
**Materials Required**

-Your busted door handles, I'm talking about the mounting screw location pointed out by the arrow. I got these pieces for free so they are a little beat up. But I've seen this problem in a lot of 92-95 Civics.
-You'll also need some M4-M5 washers, about 3/16" ID, 3/8" OD for y'all Imperial measurement folk.
-Some sort of flame source. My weapon of choice is a butane powered soldering iron with the tip removed.
-"Weld On" ABS 2773 PVC Cement... Trust me, this stuff is the **** when it comes to "welding" plastics.
-Rubbing alcohol
-Some sandpaper
(1.) - Clean the interior piece and use a #2 phillips screwdriver or something similar to hold the washer as you heat it with the flame. Use the screwdriver to adjust the position of the washer once you've heated it enough to make it flow in the plastic around the factory mounting location. Once you're done it should look about flush to where the OE plastic sat.

(2.) - Use a razor to cut away any excess plastic that may have melted and is protruding on the lower side of the interior piece.

(3.) - Again use rubbing alcohol to clean the surfaces after slightly scuffing the area with sandpaper. Use a swab to apply the PVC cement to the bottom surface. I also applied a little to the top area and used my finger to smooth out the contours. Wash the cement off your finger before it begins to cure.

(4.) - Allow a good amount of cure time, sand the lower surface flat then re-install. I don't have any pics beyond this because I will be repainting these items tomorrow.

(5.) - Tell your friends not to yank those ****in handles as they close your door or they'll be fixing your ****!
