I see this car on craigslist all the time, seems like the seller is having a hard time getting rid of this. I think I would only pay what the motor is worth. That's just me though.

 

That car is beat but it could be a cool project if you're willing to put in a lot of work. Does it run well? I mean I see it probably isn't drivable but does it start/idle ok/ seem to run nicely? Maybe $1200?

 

The guy should pay you to take it off his hands. The body is shot and getting replacement panels for the rear is next to impossible. Well that's not entirely true. You can get a panel that goes from the door to the trunk and the bottom to the roof. And they cost about $700 a piece. Not to mention all of the labor involved in replacing them.

 

it starts and runs perfect but he said he bought the motor without the vin on it,stolen???

 

maybe worth 500$, that thing is beat

 

$1200. Only because you can hear the motor run before you buy it.

 

Even if it's got a clean title I wouldn't trust that it hasn't been in a pretty serious accident. I don't know if I'd even buy the engine...

Noone will buy a motor with no vin. Its stolen, why on earth would someone want it?

 

I heard once that if the cops stop you and they see that the vin number on the engine has been removed they can impound your car and either confiscate the whole car or just the engine...is that true?

 

i just found out its a b16a3 95 delsol si motor they dnt cme with the vin

 

around 1000, the motor is a gutless wonder, but the head, interior, brakes and trans are worth something.
