I drive a 99 DX hatch and I have a Y8 swap with a 99-00 P2P ecu. I am getting a CEL for Malfunction ECU and my car is running EXTREMELY rich. I smoke out the back (but I burn NO oil) and I get 100-120 miles per gallon. Im sick of spending a **** ton of money on gas, my rear window clogging up with smoke, and having my car smell like ****.

So heres the deal; we meet up somewhere, I test out your ECU on my car, and see if it makes a difference. If it does or doesnt, then so be it. Then ill know I have an engine problem rather than ECU problem.

Then afterward we can go grab a bite to eat on me. Deal? Deal. PM me for my phone number if interested it. SOMEONE HELP ME OUT!

Fixed the problem thanks guys!! JDMCarboy had a 99-00 ECU for $60. That is superrrrr cheap considering how rare the ECU is, I dont think they really knew what they were selling haha. My car doesnt smoke one bit now, im so excited hopefully I got my MPG's back.

They did want $200 for a P28 though. WTF?

Find me one.
And if there are 1,000,000 P2P ECUs in existence, then theres probably 1,000,000,000 EM1 ECU's and about 1,000,000,000,000 96-98 EX ECU's out there.

so you're trying to tell me there are more 99-00 Civic Si's than there are 99-00 EX's? and there are more 96-98 civic EX's only because they ran an extra production year.

think before you type. and if you need another P2P so bad, ive got one.. from a 99-00 ex that im parting out, maybe i can sell it for a lot because its so "RARE!"

how many civic ex's does honda produce in a year? WORLDWIDE.. dont be stupid.

and so you know, 96-98 ecu's are still P2P. just obd2a instead of obd2b.. and 99-00 EM1 ecu's are P2T's..
