what harness do i use for a obd1 h23 swap?
every car i have ever swapped, with the exception of an eg i did a gsr swap in, i used the harness from the car the engine is going in.
i didnt on the eg, because it was same gen, and i removed it from the wrecked car and knew it was mint.

and what else do i use cause obviously a obd2 civic harness isnt going to mate with me h23..i was told i can use a accord harness and a factory harness(accord obd1 for the mootr, and factory 97 civic harness)
The stock Civic harness, and then modify it. You'll need to lengthen some wires, and possibly add other wires and plugs, if the stock harness doesn't have them. It's going to be pretty much the same as the H22A swap, so you should check out the H22A swap FAQ page for more specific wiring info.

From there you will probably have to deal with some other wiring, because it's an OBD2 engine. Stuff like the injector plugs, alternator plug (also part of the wires that need to be lengthened), and the distributor plug. Of course the ECU plugs as well; depending on which ECU you're using.
