any opinions on ebay fogs and projector lights for a 5th gen?
I saw a 5th gen in the parking lot with some cheap ebay looking headlights and they were so condensed with water a gold fish can live in them lol. but I bought some led tailight bulbs a while back and still have them till this day, so It all depends on you. plus dont buy according to feedback because 99.9 percent of people leave positive feedback as soon as they open the box.
i put 55watt yellow bulbs in my ebay fogs, and it melted my fogs. theyre nice good just stick to 35watt bulbs. as for projectors, retrofit FTW but i havnt heard of any issues with ebay ones except that they dont illuminate as well as sometimes even stock headlights.
the newest version of the fogs for the 5th gens are fantastic. Polycarbonate lenses, housing color-matched sealant (not black like the early versions), 55W bulbs standard so it wont melt, a custom switch bezel so you dont have to delete a switch, and a full wiring harness (though I just snipped the ends off and used the pre-wired foglight harness that comes in the car) and they now have the cutoff shield inside the housing just like authentic fogs.
The headlights do kinda suck though lol

hey man,
I was super nervous
too about ordering these cos they were so cheap. HOWEVER, i am pleased to report they were childsplay to install and have worked beautifully since i go them first week of december. I say go with it. No burnouts or melting chips or cracks.

Oh, i forgot to report about mine lol. well, so far these yellow fogs i ordered are still working great ever since i installed them almost two weeks ago. The lens however, is plastic NOT glass. They were pretty easy to install, only took me and a buddy less than 20 relaxed minutes. They are fairly bright as well, they look nice.
^I don't think any lights have real glass lenses since way way back of the muscle car eras..anyways they seem like they're actually pretty good considering you can get a set of those with switch, relay, harness and everything shipped for around $65. I'm about to order myself a set of these.
This was for a 99 civic btw.
I did the cutting perfect and when you'd line everything up with the brackets all mounted on the inside of the bumper. The outside shroud was off by like 2cm on the little "duct" thing I guess you would say.
Pissed me off.
