i have a 91 ef hatch, i purchased it not to long ago and its my first honda. i was given only one key for the car and it doesnt seem to work in the door locks? My drivers side door the little flip thing that you use to lock/unlock the doors appears like its unlocked but its locked or just wont open and the passenger side is locked as well. Is there a problem with my locks or is it my key? cause the locks seem to operate fine just wont unlock from the outside. any help or ideas are greatly appreciated

 

check the rods, that connect to the locks. it might not be connected.

 

alright thanks, any ideas on how i can get into the thing now? nobody was open to have a towtruck guy do it or anything and im supposed to be somewhere tomorow morning so im hoping to get in some how early tomorow

 

run to the junkyard and get the entire locking assembly from a car that matches yours. civic hb's and crx should be the same

 

Go through your hatch just fold down your seats so it's easier to unlock your door and yes your lock/unlock rod might not be connected.if your car came wit keyless entry ppl usually disconnect the rod so thieves can't pop there locks

 

try not pushing the key in all the way, my key seems to need to be at a certain point for me to turn it.

 

Its a simple problem which can be solved in easy way. Just check it in nice way.
