Help diagnosing a door lock problem.
I'm having some trouble with my door locks in my 98 2 door integra and was hoping H-T can help. Here are the symtoms:
-I can unlock the drivers door from the outside with the key, but if I hold it, it won't unlock the pass door like it should.
-I can't unlock the pass door from the outside at all. The key won't turn.
-I can use the inside door switches to lock the doors but not unlock them, I have to do that manually.
-To open the hatch I have to hold the key turned while I open it and if I hold the key turned in the hatch lock it won't open all the locks like it should.
What i'm thinking is it could be the pass door actuator (3/26) which would be why the lock is binding, or it might be the main actuator on the drivers door that would controll all the locks. I don't know if this would affect the hatch lock or if it could be the hatch actuator (25) or the tailgate opener switch (16).

I already checked those and they're fine. The doors wouldn't lock with the switch if a fuse was blown.

Have you pulled the passenger door panel and checked the condition of the lock rods? Check to make sure they are all in the correct slots and apply some lithium grease.
Can you hear the actuators trying to unlock the doors?

the rods go into a white sleve like thing where the door closes, whats that white unit called, thats where yer problem is. the rods arent engaging/disenaging in there for ur rods to work proerply, find out the name for that unit and get new ones at scrap yard or take em apart n clean em up.
<---Locksmith
-I can unlock the drivers door from the outside with the key, but if I hold it, it won't unlock the pass door like it should.
Key switch issue. Could be a number of electrical issues or faulty lock actuators. Do you get any noise or movement from the passenger door?
-I can't unlock the pass door from the outside at all. The key won't turn.
Two things, either your lock is gummed up, the key is worn or both.
First, try spraying carb cleaner in the lock. Run your key back and for and repeat a few times. Most of the time, this frees up any old grease. The HD103 Key blank..which is what you have, is very picky. Your key may be excessively worn. If this is the case, find a local Locksmith that can "Code Cut" the key or do their best at returning the key to "Factory Cuts". Basicly, its a method of looking at the key and determining what cuts the key was originally and then using a special machine, they can cut a brand new key..WITHOUT copying yours. I've seen HD103's cause trouble when they key is worn as little at .003 of an inch.
-I can use the inside door switches to lock the doors but not unlock them, I have to do that manually.
Back to a possible actuator problem, fuses or possibly burned contacts within the switches themselves.
-To open the hatch I have to hold the key turned while I open it and if I hold the key turned in the hatch lock it won't open all the locks like it should.
Holding the hatch isn't uncommon. How are your struts? Do they hold the lid open? You will usually get this problem if the struts are dead or low on pressure. They provide a bit of positive lift on the latch when you unlock the lid, thus allowing the lid to open freely.
Unlocking the car though...back to the actuator issue...
I hope this is a bit of help

Thanks. I'm going to try the carb cleaner in the lock tonight. I work for honda so I cut a generic HD103 and the Honda p/n from code and they don't work either.
I'm goin to tear the door panel off and check everything. I replaced the fuses and still no luck. I want to try everything I can before I spend the money on an actuator.
As for the hatch, I dont' have to hold it open. I have to hold the key turned to the right while I open it using the handle. It won't stay unlocked unless the key is in the hole and turned.
