Default WOT Rev Issues

I recently purchased a 94 Vx with a Jdm b16a and under WOT it breaks up between 4,500 and 5,200rpms, falls on its face and doesn't want to rev any higher. Under partial throttle it will rev to 8200. Vtec does engage and other than a small miss like a little blip in the throttle under 2k the car runs fine as long as you keep it under 4500rpms. I have changed my dizzy cap, rotor button, ignition coil, plugs, and plug wires, 2 different fpr's, 2 chipped ecus and 4 different eprom chips from oem p30 to slightly modded maps, TPS reads .49v closed and 4.36v WOT. It isn't showing any cells. It seems to be loading the plugs up with fuel but I'm not sure if it is from lack of spark or too much fuel. I have searched this issue for over a week now with no resolution. Any ideas?

yea they are the right plugs...it was doing it before the new plugs also which is why I changed everything..this is the 2nd ignition coil I've had in it and it didn't change anything. This one is brand new. I havent tried an ignition control module yet but I'll do that tomorrow

What about your cat? Possibly causing a restriction at high rpms?

I tried a different dizzy off of a running car with no luck so here is the check list
*Multiple Ecu's and Eprom chips
*Another Dizzy
*Plugs
*Plug Wires
*Different FPR
* Brand new rotor button, dizzy cap, ignitor for my dizzy
* Clocked the TPS it reads .49V at close and 4.36V WOT
- The exhaust is as free as it can be

The car has a miss/sputter under partial throttle at low rpms and will only rev past 5k under slight throttle, under much throttle at all it just goes crazy and resembles valve float. It is flooding my sparkplugs so is it too rich or not enough spark when it does this?

I've turned the dizzy from one possible range to the other, right now it is pretty much dead center

did you do the vx o2 sensor fix? does your check engine light work? did you check the timing? how to you know its running too rich? does the exhaust smell like gas? leaky injector(s)?

also your TPS readings are off, should be 0.5 closed and 4.5 open.

o2 sensor fix? Im not aware of that, what is it? The car has a jdm b16a in it running a chipped P28, I realize the tps is reading off but less voltage would result in it running leaner, not richer and it seems to be responsive when I open and close the throttle when I checked it with my multi meter...I know its running rich because when I pull the plugs they have fuel dripping off of them. I havent personally checked timing but the guy who had it before me said he took the cams out looking for issues in the head and timed it when he put them back (it had the issue before and after he pulled the cams) and yes the check engine light works...its cycles when you turn the key on for the fuel pump 30 second burst. Im going to try another set of injectors and if that doesnt fix it I am going to change the tps for good measure since I have a spare anyway.

Ok so I put new injectors in it, that didn't do anything...I set my crank pulley on the marks with #1 at TDC and this is how my cam gears look, is this right?

You want to check the cam gear orientation with the timing cover on. Use the top of the timing cover to see how the cam gears are lining up. With stock gears, the marks on the gears make a straight line that's parallel with the top of the timing cover.

did you set it at TDC with the mark on the crank pulley? because the timing looks off, but if you set it with the crank pulley off its hard to get it lined up perfectly. put the crank pulley and lower timing cover on and line up the mark on the crank with the arrow on the cover. its the mark thats by itself not one of the 3 that are grouped together. and you should have a cel if the o2 sensor fix wasnt done already. but you can google "vx o2 fix" if you want to read about it.

also when the get the crank set right, the lines on the outside of the cam gears (blue arrows) should line up with the line on the rear upper timing cover (red arrow). also did you ever try another ignitor?

hmm so my timing is off because Im 99% sure I had the crank pulley aligned correctly and #1 on TDC... Im not running an o2 sensor at all. Its a chipped P28 on crome and it doesnt even look for an o2 sensor...Ive ran alot of cars this way with no issues...this car also had an ls and lsvtec in it prior with no issues. just this b16 is a headache. Thanks for the help, Ill get it in time and go from there there...hopefully that solves the problem
