Default blower motor or resistor?

Hmm well its getting cold and now I find my heat isnt working. I've noticed that sometimes my heat will come on and sometimes it wont. Now not at all. I noticed that when I turn the heat on at any setting there was a faint blowing sound like it was just barely sending air into my car. Now that sound is gone and theres no response on any of the 4 settings. Does this sound like the blower or the resistor?

check for power from resistor to blower motor, or smack blower motor with hammer, if it turns on then you need the blower motor.

how do I go about checking the power? I've never messed with the heating elements of my car.

Replace the blower motor.

I did this on my DD '90 over the summer after I checked EVERYTHING.

The other thing you could try - and I might - is to find new brushes for the motor...
