Default bad int shaft?

89 civicsi, b16 swap using s1 integra tranny and int shaft. i have a hell of a grinding noise coming from drivers side front, its worse when i turn the wheel and its not the brakes. and the axles have around 2k miles on them, the only thing i didnt replace is the int shaft, is this something that goes bad often and could this be my problem? or could i just have a crappy axle? and also is there fluid inside the int shaft? how do the bearings inside there get lubed? or do they not? thanks

The int. shaft doesnt have grease in it. Its basically a sealed large bearing. Have you checked your hub bearings? They can make a grinding noise. Jack up the car and spin the wheels. If it is bad enough you will be able to feel where the grinding is coming from.
