i recommend getting a ITR chassis before posting.

but hands down turbo. NEVER been impressed by a supercharged car. proper sizing of the turbo will get you way further than a supercharger will.

as for carb? get out of cali.

if your goals are about 260hp...i have a JRSC with methanol injection, bpi velocity stack intake with samco hose, and endyn kamikaze header for sale for $1800 shipped if you want it. it will be everything you need except for engine management such as hondata and a fuel pump and injectors. if you decide to pick it up, just get the hondata s300 and the same injectors that I did and i can just send you my map and you dont have to pay for tuning!!! just install and go. instant power

If you're building on a budget i say build the head and while your at it go ahead and slap a high comp head gasket on there, really wouldnt go boost on a type r it kind of defeats the pourpose of it being a type r also superchargers dont last long just go n/a if you wanna go boost build another block but keep those type r cams GREAT FOR BOOST

Just curious, out of all the integra motors isnt the type R series compression way too high for boost? There wouldnt be any gain from a turbine or charger correct?

This thread sucks on so many levels.

Why do people think that just because they have a couple of ITR parts on their beater LS that they should post such questions in this forum?

what do you mean superchargers dont last. i have not had any problems when i ran mine and i have never heard of anyones supercharger breaking down on them on their ITR. i basically daily drove my car too....someone can correct me if im wrong.

I'm so tempted to supercharge my R but i'm afraid it wont be worth it. I know what a turbo car pulls like and the turbo route has a lot more options to choose from. I wish i knew someone with a supercharged B series so i could go for a ride in it and see what its like before buying one.

Here's a novel idea: Why not post your questions in the proper forum?

Or, perhaps I should post this in a sentence you might better understand:

yo post this ish in the proper forum tha hybrid peeps or the integ peeps would help u hook ur ride up better.

And just so you know, you could have saved a ton of cash by turbocharging your stock B18 LS motor and made almost the same amount of power. But if you would have done that, you couldn't brag to everyone that you have "Type R Parts".

If you know anyone with a base model cobalt (not SS), take it for a ride. It's kinda like that. unless you put a pulley on it the size of a quarter and run 95 lbs. of boost you should be about 275whp. and 160 ft. lbs. of torque.
