Default 92-93/94-95 glove box

I just swapped my 92 dash out of my civic into my 95 civic. It appears the glove box is different between the years?? I assume this is because of the pass airbag. (Yes, the plastic inside the dash did break on install, this should've been my first clue..)

Will a 94/95 glove box fit my 92 dashboard? I'd prefer not removing my dash again.

Do you mean ziptie the 94/95 glove box?? The 92/93 physically will not fit.

Why not just get the correct year glove box to match the rest of the dash???

Did you even read my post? The glove box doesn't fit because of the brackets behind the dash from the passenger side airbag.

remove all the airbag **** then.... You cant have a pass side airbag with a 92-93 dash anyways.

There's a metal frame behind the dash that is blocking the glove box... There is
no airbag

In a word: No. Here is a diagram (courtesy e-hatch.com):

He probably means the 94/95 box. Does it fit in the 92 dash? Will it close properly if you can rig it up with a zip tie?

Can't do this - the 92 won't fit.

What about removing the metal frame? This is the "airbag ****" he's referring to.... check a parts diagram and note the p/s dash parts that are different. Remove the ones related to the airbag and your 92 box will fit again.

Argh, F YOU HONDA. I guess that's what I'll do... but not now. I'll pull the dash out some other time for that.. Or, I can just take a grinder to it or something.

I'm sure those latches the glovebox uses are similar to like, the door latches you could buy at Home Depot right? Probably 1" or something. I bought my car without a glovebox, and bought one from the junkyard a while back but still haven't installed it. But now that I know for sure it's gonna fit, I wanna get it installed ASAP.
