Default OT: But I am being forced to buy a tack mabe. So if you had to get one witch one would you get??

So if you had to get one witch one would you get??

Well i am about out of options I just installed my motor and took out all the pin connectors out of my stock wiring harness so I could repin it to fit a 98 Spec ITR ECU. I know i could have taken the IMOBI out of the 00-01 ECU and used my stock harness but I dont want a cell and you cant pass the visual in CA if you have any kind of cell (plan on getting the motor registered)

anyway I cant get the tach to work but every thing else works so i might have to buy an aftermarket tach What would you get and pics would be great I really want to stay away from autometer so I dont put rice on my car but all sugestions will be considered

thanks CHRIS

tack mabe
I clicked just to learn what that was.

Here's my advice:

Figure out how to make the tach in your gauge cluster work. I don't care how long, or how much work it will take. It will be very half-assed if you buy an aftermarket tach because you couldn't get the stock one to work.

Hopefully you can figure it out. Good luck.

Just run a wire straight from the tach signal at the distributor to the tach input on your gauge cluster.
