Default Another question on the Volt Gauge install for a 94 Accord

Ok, so I think I may have gotten it.... but there is just one problem. My voltage gauge has 5 wires, but I believe I'll only need to use 2 in order to make it work - so here is my question. The black wire is for ground, and the red wire is to connect to the ignition power, but where is the ignition power? Is it around the steering column? Thanks!!

Throw the gauge away because it's useless?

What kind of gauge is it? I'm talkin brand here, so don't say Volt gauge.

Black wire - ground
White wire - Lights
Red wire - Ignition switch, it's on your column, the Honda wire colors are blk/wht and solid wht. They have brown connectors on the end that plug into your fuse box.
Last wire, I don't know what color yours is or what it's for, probably for some sort of ricer dimming effect, tell me the brand of gauge and I'll tell you where it goes.

why do you need those gauges?

i mean the only "gauge" i could really understand for a car like ours would be oil pressure for the most part. maybe oil temperature. obviously if you are boosted its a different story. but point of the volts gauge?

I've got one. I hardwired it directly into the cigarette lighter. It is already fused and only comes on when the car is on. Easy and simple. I have it powering 3 gauges and the cig lighter will still power a gps or phone charger w/o a problem.
