I was fitting my npr piston rings today and managed to snap one of the 2nd rings . I need to get the car together quite quick, so i was wondering if i could use OEM rings on that one piston and NPR on the others.

 

You snapped a compression ring would not be smart at all. Order a new ring.

 

Yeh ime going to, but will it be ok to use Nippon rings on 3 pistons and OEM honda on the 1 piston ?

 

just buy a whole set so everything matches... better safe then sorry...
if something went wrong because of that it wouldn't be worth the money you saved...

 

True thats what i was thinking....

 

it would be fine for a budget build unless you are an overbore. Happened on my b18 and had to wait for cp to send a set from florida. They run around thirty for a new set. take the extra time to get everything else assembled and prepped.
