Well I just got a 95 hatch and had a sohc zc vtec and well since I tried b16,b20b, already I was thinking of just keepin the single cam and boost it , but will like to know if any one is runnin the same set up and give me some advice .

 

dude, there are TONS of people running SOHC VTEC turbo setups on this board.

 

So any d series turbo will fit the zc ?

 

get a t88 or t51r spl lol

 

And just run it stock internals ?

Once a T88 spools, even if its 10PSI only, there goes your ZC

Everyone uses t3/t4 50 trims. Go for that.

 

So pretty much just rebuild it with stock parts and run a t3 t4 ? Or what upgrades on motor since I wanna rebuild it again , sorry newbie here ..

 

yes but depends what HP you are aiming for and also what kind of manifold your going to be using.

 

lol man this brings me back wanting to do the motor in my car right now... its so cheap to do a d series its not even funny... but yeah rebuild it and run Vitara Pistons... this will drop your compression and you can boost up more and be safer on the stock rebuild. ive seen good results on studying about the vitara pistons. you will need bigger injectors also lol

 

Ok so vitara piston it is .... injectors ? Manifold ? .. sorry dude I've had a b16a with bolts on only and a b20 with eldebrook manifold and aem cam gears and aem fuel rail, so I dunno if it applies to the same to the single cam .. btw when asking for parts I ask for a d16z6 right ?

lol start searchin. everyone has different styles. different HP. it all depends on what fits ur budget and goal.

 

I did I researched and everyone ends up blowing up the motor ! And I heard that zc vtec sohc is the same thig as d16z is that true ?

 

yes it is. they blow those motors up because either they beat the crap out of it... or bad tune or even no tune

 

Welli just want a decent daily driver , I don't wanna stay back , plus. I had a b16 and b20 so. Something new will be nice

 

run 8psi on that stock rebuilt block with vitara pistons and get it tuned... good for daily driving

look into rebuilding with forged pistons or maybe vitara pistons. do it right so you wont be sorry later
