typer r head question
my friend gave me these 2000 b18c5 heads,or at least he thinks they are type r, to install in my civic, i had some 98 gsr heads on a b20b4 before that but they went to hell and need an overhaul......anyways, i was looking at them yesterday and i noticed that the intake manifold looks alot like the one that comes with the gsr obd1 engine, i kept investigating and on the head itself i noticed a number(p72-1) if im not mistaken this number means the heads are gsr and not type r, he claims they are from a 2000 b18c5 but i think he is wrong......any help trying to come to an end to this issue?

it's another gsr head, however, don't fret. the performance of the pr3 and p72 casting is nearly identical. if you're going to rebuild anyway it really doesn't matter which head you choose.
true they are almost identical but still the type r feels a lil bit stronger when it comes down to it.......

Talking to the guys at Logic Motorsports they told me with identical builds except the head were very close. They said the PR3 showed just a bit more whp and the P72 a bit more wtq.
