Awhile back I picked up some high intensity headlight bulbs from ebay..........I know. A few months later, I noticed my left headlight was really dim.....basically regular headlight color. Inspected that headlight to find the connector almost completely melted.

I enlist the help of my old man who is a former electrician. Basically, he broke off the connector and wired each wire to the individual prongs on the bulb. This was just supposed to be temporary to I get new connectors and bulbs.

Here's the real problem, during the wiring I lost my low beams and am only able to use high beams at the moment. I really don't no how this was caused.

Any insight would be helpful.
