headlight problem...need help
i had my piaa headlights for a while maybe a year or so and one night it decided to go on me...so i replaced it with an aftermarket bulb "NOKYA" funny thing is that bulb only lasted about 2 days...and its the same side that keeps blowing out...any suggestions or solutions? thanx
Inadvertantly handling the glass portion of a quartz halogen bulb will cause premature failure. Seems the oils on your finger change the thermal characteristics of the glass which leads to either blistering or shattering.
One other cause might be moisture in the headlight capsule.

Were your PIAA bulbs high wattage? I don't know if they make high wattage bulbs or not but maybe if they were your wiring started meting and isn't getting a good connection and is causing the bulbs to blow. Also touching the bulb will cause it to blow but I assume you know that.
if they are the high output bulbs like silverstars or similiar they are only supposed to last about a year or at least that is what the sylvannia representative told me in an email
and are these the high or low beams
because you have no idea how many times my low beams have burnt out in my 90 dx its probably something in the wiring and definately make sure you dont let the glass touch anything

Yeah they may only last a year as thats what I have heard from others saying there lasted about that amount of time but the Nokya bulbs should have lasted longer than 2 days.
