What is the best auto engine I can buy for less than $2000? It has to be auto, #1 because it's a beach car, #2 I don't feel like wasting the money on a conversion because when I get a full time job I'm getting a 5 speed prelude

 

just save your money for modifications to the lude. no use wasting money on something that could never be quick.

 

dont need it quick, i need reliable transportation to get back and forth to work to get the prelude!

If you must keep the Auto Trans "Blah" you could just put in a ZC, it will attach to your auto trans. Is it worth it? Not really. You could do what I did and swap out the trans and convert it and put a ZC in for 3,500+ bucks

What about a 90-91 Teg LS motor with an auto? Just a thought. Assuming all the mounts fit.
